Since the pandemic, I’ve carried this overwhelming feeling I couldn’t always explain. At first, I thought it was just stress, life being life. And while those things certainly played a role, something deeper was going on. I just didn’t have the language for it at the time.
I’ve realized recently that while I’ve been focused on trying to fix the things I could see like my physical health, my schedule, or even my surroundings. I’ve been unintentionally neglecting the parts of me I couldn’t see. And those invisible parts? They matter just as much.
When God Speaks Through Feeling and Knowing
In a recent spiritual training class, I learned about the different ways God communicates with us. That moment shifted everything.
I discovered that the way I naturally connect to God is through feeling and knowing. It made so much sense. I’ve always been deeply intuitive, deeply emotional. But I didn’t realize that without being spiritually plugged into God, I had no filter or discernment. I was absorbing everything around me, good and bad, and not everything I was feeling even belonged to me.
Whether we acknowledge Him or not, God has already wired us a certain way. But without connection to the Source, our gifts can leave us overwhelmed instead of empowered.
Why Physical and Mental Health Matter to Your Faith
As I’ve begun this journey toward spiritual healing, I’ve also discovered that physical and mental health play a key role in how clearly we can hear God.
When my mind is cluttered or my body is tired and out of balance, I find it harder to hear His voice. But when I take care of my health, when I move my body, fuel it well, get still, and care for my emotions, His direction becomes clearer.
I like to think of it like this:
• The body is the phone
• The soul is the operating system
• The spirit is the charger, the Source
You can have a perfect phone, but if you never plug it in, it’s useless. You can keep the charger nearby, but if the phone is broken or the system is corrupted, it still won’t work properly. All three parts have to work together for the phone to function the way it was created to.
Why I Started The Whole Temple
I started this blog because I believe that healing isn’t just physical or mental. We need our whole selves, body, soul, and spirit in alignment to truly experience peace, clarity, and purpose.
And truthfully? I’m just getting started myself.
This blog isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about learning, growing, and healing together. I’ll be sharing what I’m discovering about holistic wellness, faith, emotional healing, and spiritual growth, hoping that it blesses someone else walking a similar path.
If you’ve ever felt like something’s off, but you couldn’t quite put your finger on it… if you’ve ever tried to fix your health or your mindset and still felt stuck… this space is for you.
Let’s Walk This Journey Together
My prayer is that The Whole Temple becomes a space where you feel seen, uplifted, and inspired to seek alignment in every area of your life. Not perfection, but wholeness.
Let’s learn how to care for our temples together.
